All my life I’ve been taught what a glow worm looks like. A glow worm is the larval form of a lightning bug. Most bugs are worms before becoming bugs.
It’s suppose to be cute and endearing. They wear hats with tassels. I’ve done my research. I have photographic evidence.
When I take walks in the early morning or after sunset I see tiny points of lights on the ground. I love seeing them knowing they are glow worms. It is too dark to see details but I figured I knew what they looked like.
Imagine my shock when one day I took a close up photo and discovered what they really look like. Growing up is hard.
